Today is International Day Against Homophobia. (Three cheers for Canada.)

But then again, every day should be, and that why today is important.

In the UK -- at least in high-minded Oxford -- things are surprisingly good, yet horrible hate-crimes still occur across the country.

With you all the way as far as discrimination goes, my dear. NO-ONE should be discriminated against on the grounds of race, colour, creed , sexuality, height, left handedness or any other bloody thing.
WE ARE NOT CLONES. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT.
So let us join hands and celebrate our differences whatever they may be. This is what defines the Human Race and the Human Spirit.

And no, I am not any of the things listed in your topics, but I am fiercely against discrimination of any kind.

I can understand people feeling that certain sexual behaviors are "icky", and not wanting to have anything to do with them. But I have never understood wanting to hurt or kill someone else for being "icky". (I still don't really understand wanting to kill or hurt someone for being different.)

May all the Goddesses and Gods of love protect and defend all those who love, no matter who or how they love, and may They also teach every human being that love in all its forms is sacred...

I was so proud of my small town the other day. While driving to work, I saw two girls (late teens, high school was getting out), walking down the road holding hands. No one hassled them, no one drove off the road staring, it just was one of those things. I did, however, wave and give them a thumbs up.
