Never say never.

I never update this thing when I'm happy.

You know what? In the most general of senses, I think I'm happy. I had a kind of day yesterday where I actually thought, "Life: you're doin' it right." Spring has come. I didn't know if I'd make it through last year. I miss Keith. I miss Peter. I miss Isobel.

When I moved here, my biggest goal was to make a ( Read more... )

i am so glad that things are going well for you! i've been feeling that way, too, lately. that my life has settled into something that makes me pretty happy. certainly it's not perfect, but i rather like it. which is kind of a new and exciting thing for me. yay for life settling down and the end of angst!

I'm pleased to see you're doing well!

I've seen several times now with friends that sometimes it takes leaving the place that made you, to be able to be the person that you need to be.

And as for camp, I'm putting my money on "No kids ever" after camp.
But you never can tell, eh?

Yeah, I already know the old adage, "There is no geographical cure." Somehow I had the feeling for me, there WAS. And I think at this point, I was right. My life is still missing a few things, but I'm okay with that. I think I need to get myself back together, and I'm working hard at that.

We'll see how it is after camp's over...assuming I get the job! I still haven't heard back from the hiring manager, but I know he was playing phone tag with my references all last week and he's doing a huge amount of hiring in one big lump. So. Hopefully I'll hear soon :). It should be interesting, one way or another.

While the circumstances are different, there's something about this post that I really relate to. I'm glad that you got out of Bloomington and got the chance to see what life could be like outside of it (not to mention busting those bad habits).

Thanks Ashe. I'm definitely feeling better about life outside of that place and that scene...still trying to figure out when I can plan a NOLA visit. :) Also, keep the recipes coming!! I'll send to you whenever I come across something deliciously awesome. Cooking helps my mood! :)

This is all such good news! You've earned this kind of contentment, hon.
I am right there with you, too. I've been thinking a lot lately about finally finding some security.
Good luck with the summer job hunt!

Thanks lady! I can see from your online presence that you're doing pretty well (aside from the ankle, heh). And I'm glad for it!

I enjoy reading your movie reviews. Have you seen Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief? There seems to be a trend recently of using Greek Mythology themes - God of War, Percy Jackson, Clash of the Titans, ect.

I haven't seen Percy Jackson yet...I plan to. My next non-review movie will be How to Train Your Dragon. It's supposed to be really good, and I feel like it's a theater-necessary movie. Thanks for reading, BTW, so few people do! :)
