My mother is just so...evolved. She's a person who operates on a higher chakra-level. I'm so rooted at the, well, root level that I can't really see more than glimpses of meaningful things

First off, I don't think the bible preaches animal cruelty. I know you don't think that but there is nothing in there about it. Dominion does not imply "Do whatever you want to them." Adam was charged with their care, read it again. I could comment on everything but...it's late. But I will say this. Do you know that pretty much everything we have medically is based off of animal testing? If it were thrown away we'd have no medicine. Plus, the VP of PETA is on insuline, which is a product of animal testing. When questioned about it she said, "I don't think I'm a hypocrite, I need my life to save more animals."
Nothing in life is all-or-nothing, black-or-white. It's all completely and entirely relative, and to be or think or live on either end of ANY spectrum is to live without our eyes and to live only part of life

At the same time, dominion over animals is advantageous insomuch as it means that those of us not behaving cruely are in a proper position to protect the animals from those other people who would exploit their position for ill. If we lacked this dominion over the animals, it would not be within our rights to protect the animals, and those that do them harm needlessly (can't argue against killing animals for food, myself, though shooting them for sport is certainly sick) would be outside our jurisdiction of ass-kickery.
And I don't know that "fire and brimstone" is an appropriate term for the Old Testament, as Hell isn't a consideration until the New. Just Sheol for everybody, if I remember correctly. I probably misspelled that, but you know what I'm talking about, O scholar of the hebrew texts.
I'd like to talk with you more about this later. As for now, I've got...more annoying fish to fry (utterly inappropriate metaphor, ahaha! and funnier yet, I almost typed "meataphor.").
Talk? I'm better at composing a complete sentence on my compy :(
Yeah, I could go for a meataphor or two right about now. I'm in the middle of an essay on The Metamorphosis and metaphor. I never knew I liked Kafka so much until I read him. Casey hates him and thought he was Russian until I told him no, Franz Kafka was German. So much for our resident Germany expert.
I'll see you tomorrow as well, unless you hide after spotting me and I haven't spotted you just yet. And we all know you're too bombastic for that, don't we? ;)
