Brokeback Mountain did it for me - i'd seen Ledger in some of his prettyboy stuff, so was familiar with his usual pretty and somewhat silly jobs (which he never did a bad job in, but A Knight's Tale is no Casablanca). But then that pretty 20-something Hollywood It boy disappeared into a quiet, conflicted Montana cowboy. And i mean disappeared. At the end of the movie, i had to remind myself that it was Heath Ledger.

So yeah. Even before seeing the previews, i had high hopes for his Joker. And it sounds like i won't be disappointed. But i will be a little sad.

I've loved him since 10 Things I Hate About You. He was an amazingly awesome actor and I was so upset when he died. :( <3
