For my cousin's wedding next summer, I said I wanted to drop 10-15 pounds. Honestly, I'm comfortable with my weight, but I'm displeased at the appearance of fat dimples in my thighs.

It's a vicious cycle.

1. I see my flabby thighs and become disgusted with myself.
2. My thighs remind me of lechon (roast pork).
3. I start to crave afore-mentioned lechon.

It's official. I'm an Oberlin College alumna.

It's pretty much how I thought it would be: boring, involving me missing everyone back at Oberlin, anxiety over immediate life plans, trying to find people to hang out with.

I'm trying to figure out what it all means.

All these losses. And what have I gained? Strength of character, a grim/hesitatingly hopeful outlook on life, new friends, more stories to tell.

And yet, I have advanced despite the setbacks. I'm getting a BA. In not one, but two, majors with a minor.

How did I pull this off? Really?
