Is it just me, or do a lot of these event announcements have to do with food? I mean, I like food and everything, but why use that in these poems about how we're all gonna be in incredible pain?! Why not use something already connected to pain, like school or something?

food is good, pain is bad

I don't know...I hope we don't turn into hungry monsters or anything.

If we're all hungry, and we're all monsters... would that mean we're all going to run around and try to eat one another?

I really hope not!

That would be awful!

Because it's not torture if you're expecting it.

Well, no one said I ever wanted to be tortured in the first place.

No one ever does. It's not like turn down service.

I should be able to turn down being transfigured into some kind of monster or some such thing, shouldn't I?

Surely school can't be that bad.

That depends on the professors' moods on any given day.

You could stdy while you're here. Then your teachers would have no reason to complain when you got back.

Mum and James said they'd give me lessons. It wouldn't matter how far ahead I am, though, especially not to Snape.

Yeah, I hear ya. Food should totally not be made into a bad thing!

However, school's pretty awesome. Especially history. Or more importantly, US History.

Food is what got me through my first year at Hogwarts... well, that and my friends, of course.

I've never taken, er, US History. The only history class I've managed is History of Magic, and that's easily the most boring class in existence.

In the book Alice in Wonderland the March Hare and the Mad Hatter were obsessed with tea and cake.

What, you mean all this is based on some kind of book?

Some of it ... I think.

It's called "Alice in Wonderland?" I wonder if there's a copy of it in the library....
