A post on a friend's LJ has got me thinking about prop 102 (amendment to state constitution to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman

A very sane post on a subject which can bring out a large amount of insanity in people. What irritates me is that people who are often the most irreligious individuals one may ever know object to same sex marriage on the grounds of religion.

I also doubt many biologists would classify Homo sapiens as a monogamous species.

We wouldn't be. Chimps and gorillas aren't. Gibbons are, but they're way removed from us.

I can not agree more. I don't think that the government should be involved in marriage at all.
