Good for you that this is happening even in the academic setting. Most, in my experience, that get degrees and become officially "educated" end up very arrogant in their presumption of knowledge.
Recently, the Spirit of Truth has taught me through the Word that a presumption I had about sabbath keeping was wrong. Now, I've had to repent and relearn some things I though I knew. And next year, I'm sure I'll look back and be amazed at how much I thought I knew that Yah had to correct me on.
I think he is doing this to all his people. Some do repent and kill their ego. Some would rather not admit they need to change and thus they stay the same.
I am confident that you are one who will repent and change and humbly serve the Master our King!

p.s. Hope your dad is doing much better by now. It was very sad to Kathy and I when we got the news.

Yah also has humbled me the past few years, that as I study things more and learn as much as possible, I come more and more to the realization of how little I really do know.
