CHAPTER 2
Lunch time
Hyukjae don’t want to eat not because he want to save money but he don’t even have the money. The salary he earned from his work in a bar is all taken by his father to gamble and drinking. But Siwon already dragged him out of class to the cafeteria. Siwon give him no chance to protest. When they were there, Hyukjae shocked seeing the price of the food. The luxurious food price cost him a week full meal of his daily meal.
“I-I’m not hungry.” Hyukjae try to reason out. But suddenly, his stomach grumble. ‘Aish, stupid stomach. Why now out of all time?’ He haven’t eat since yesterday, nothing weird for him to starve like that.
“ Your stomach not saying the same.” Siwon smile make Hyukjae go all red. “Come on, it’s my treat.” Siwon drag Hyukjae by his arm to the to the counter. He order a set of hamburgers and big fries in addition with tall strawberry smoothies for Hyukjae since Hyukjae is being stubborn doesn’t want to order anything. Siwon order a plate of Italian spaggheti and the same smoothies for himself.
“S-Siwon, i won’t be able to finish it all.”Hyukjae say when they arrived at a table. Hyukjae pout. Seeing the pout, Siwon feel something flutter in his stomach. Calming his thumping heart down, he tease Hyukjae, “You need to eat more. You’re too skinny. If you gain weight, i won’t worry anymore.”
“Worry for what?” Hyukjae has this cute puzzled face on.
“So that you won’t thrown and fly away when the wind is blowing a little too strong.” Siwon burst into fit of laughter. Hyukjae pouts, ac ting sulking. Siwon is clutching on his stomach while he’s laughing make Hyukjae also laugh looking at his new friend antics. His sulk is long forgotten. It’s been a while since he laugh like that because he never has a friend. Well, he has some friend but it didn’t last long since he always moved around to run from the loanshark.
Hyukjae stop his laughing when he feel a pair of eyes is on him. Siwon is staring at him tenderly. “Your laughter sound so beautiful.” Siwon mentioned with his low voice making Hyukjae shade of scarlet. The latter lowered his gaze to his lap, playing with his finger. Siwon’s gaze is still on him.
“Uh-oh, lets eat.” Hyukjae try to get the awkward moment away. Grabbing the smoothies and slurp the liquid fully make him clutching his head tightly.
“A-Ahh, brain freeze,” Hyukjae open his mouth and eye widely trying to decease the brain freeze. Siwon smile upon the cute expression. ‘So cute.’
When he’s okay, Hyukjae smile his shy gummy smile to Siwon make his heart thumping at an unbelievable rate.
‘Breath Siwon, breath. In, out, in, out.’ His brown orbs, his tall pointy nose, his white smooth skin and most breathtaking is his red plump lips. Siwon licking his lips unconciously imagining how it would feel to have those lips against his. ‘Stop it! He’s my friend. My cute friend with a tempting smile. Gosh, he’s beautif....Stop it, Andrew Choi Siwon!’
Siwon snap out of his riverie. How could he think of a boy in ‘that’ way? He’s straight for God sake! Plus, God didn’t accept such relationship. ‘No, no. Absolutely no. I read BIBLE EVERYDAY!’
Hyukjae titled his head to the side looking at Siwon who shaking his head like a crazy guy. He tape the bigger’s guy shoulder asking what’s wrong only make Siwon jump at the sudden touch. Hyukjae furrowed his brows, confused by Siwon’s action.
“I’m sorry, i’m kinda trailed off. Let’s eat.” Siwon take a full bite on his meal. Shrug it off, Hyukjae imitate Siwon and eat his meal in slow pace. Throughout the time, no one utter a single word. Siwon is the first to finish his meal meanwhile Hyukjae don’t even finish half of his portion.
Siwon just stare at the slim figure before him only to make Hyukjae to be more uncomfortable. He gulp the fries in his mouth and push the plate to the centre of the table.
“I’m full.” Siwon frowns. No wonder he’s so skinny. Taking some fries, he put it in front of Hyukjae’s mouth.
“Eat some more.” He urge. “But-..” Hyukjae trying to protest. “I insisted.” Seeing the determination in Siwon’s eyes, Hyukjae know he won’t win. He take a bite at the fries in Siwon’s hand. Almost immediately, he hear whisper all over the cafeteria.
Hyukjae hung his head low when Siwon try to feed him again.
“I-I can eat on my o-own.” Siwon put down his hand, quite frustrated.he know exactly why Hyukjae acting like that. Those whipering bitches around them. Why all the girls can’t get their nose out of his bussiness?
As for the girls, it’s rare sight to see Siwon got intimate with a guy, plus he’s a new guy. Siwon just glare around him, the whispering stop in an instant. He diverted his attention to Hyukjae again.
“You got sauce at the corner of your mouth.” Hyukjae touch his left corner.
“It’s not there.” Siwon bend and wipe the sauce at the right corner with his thumb. His face just inches away from Hyukjae’s. Hyukjae froze in his seat. Siwon froze in his position. They stare into each other’s eye. They feel like the world has stop spinning. The clock has stop ticking (cliche much?).
Loss in Hyukjae’s eyes, Siwon slowly leans in. Closer, closer, closer, their lips can barely touched, suddenly, “Yo, Siwon!”
Starled both Siwon and Hyukjae, Hyukjae moved back his body instantly. Siwon shot a deathly glare to the person that crushes his chance that happen to be none other than Donghae. Feeling like his heart is nearly jump out of his rib cage, Hyukjae darted his sight everywhere but Siwon.
“What do you want Donghae?” Siwon asked in an annoyed tone. Donghae just smile playfully with one of his arm around Jessica’s shoulder. Nickhun right beside him.
“What are you doing here? You’re supposed to eat with us, not with a weirdo poor looking guy like him.” Donghae pointing rudely at Hyukjae. Hyukjae lowered his head,he’s not hurt when Donghae insulted him because he used to it. He live a long 18 years with same insult word thrown to him, some time even worse. He think maybe Siwon will think the same of him and don’t want to be friend with him anymore. Worst, maybe Siwon will be embarassed of him.
“I’ve done eating. Beside, i can eat with whoever i want. And i want to eat with Hyukjae. You can eat with Jessica and Nickhun. Kyuhyun, Changmin, and Kangin is also there. It won’t hurt to eat without me once in a while.” Hyukjae gaze up clearly suprised by Siwon’s answer. He thought Siwon will just leave him alone and go with his fellow rich friends.
Donghae and Nickhun can’t hide their suprise. Their friend is turning them down for a new unknown-from-where guy. They walk away with anger building inside of them especially, Donghae. His childhood friend is choosing the new guy over him. He don’t know why he got this strong dislike feeling toward Hyukjae. But before they leave, Jessica just have to be a bitch and pour a bottle of water on Hyukjae. Hyukjae wipe his wet uniform looking at laughing leaving couple. Siwon stand up hastily and helps Hyukjae. Hyukjae just smile at the kind-hearted Siwon. He was touched.
‘He turn his rich friend down for me, the poor guy?’-Hyukjae
‘He turn me down for that weirdo poor looking son of a whore?’-Donghae
‘I turn my friend down for this beauty in front of me.’-Siwon

***Jeng, jeng, jeng...A new update. I’m having a hard time on chap2. So,what do you think of it? Is it rubbish? Bcoz i’m kinda not in my straight mind when i write this. Pls do comment, bcoz it gave me inspiration to continue this fic. A simple comment like “i like this”, “pls update soon” already made my day, not to mention the long one.
