Go on. Flame Me. I have marshmellows

I’m probably going to be incredibly unpopular for saying this but I’m going to say it anyway.

When I first heard about Ianto’s death I was incredibly pissed off and angry. Even after watching the whole series (and in particular that heart breaking scene a thousand times) I am still pissed off and angry that they could kill off such a well loved ( Read more... )

"RTD in my opinion stands for Russell T Dickhead"
Heh, loved that.

I agree that I don't think that there'll be a Season 4 at all. I just don't see a way that it could happen, even as the Gwen and Jack show, what with Gwen having a baby. I also can't see Jack being bothered to go to the effort of restarting Torchwood with no base or equipment.

The thing I REALLY don't like about Ianto's death is the fact it didn't need to happen. Owen died (for want of a better word, since he was already dead) doing something important, & Tosh had to help him. The whole facing up to the 456 scenario could have happened without Ianto there. I'm undecided how I feel about the possibility of him coming back - I think it'd have to be sokmething GOOD, not just happening for the sake of it, really =/

Russell T Dickhead, Russell T Dumbass - it's all the same thing ;) lol

I don't think the writers are capapble of coming up with a good enough reason to bring him back - they just shouldn't have done it in the first place. >=/

problem is is that RTD is an idiot. he clearly lost his mind...... in several interviews apparently he thought that fans would love this series and see a whole new torchwood or something or other... in what insane universe did he think that killing off Ianto and packing jack off to wherever, effectivly making it the Gwen Cooper show, would make the fans happy?? i mean really. could we be more unimpressed ( ... )

there are a million ways i agree but are any of them good enough? That's the real question.

And yes RTD is an idiot. I just wish he would understand WHY - but i don't think he ever will.

That's a really good point. I won't be getting the dvds either. The only reason i would have gotten them is because of the extras but apparently they're not even worth that.

But i must admit i just like the idea of pissing them off by doing something annoying and completely ineffectual. I get some perverse pleasure out of it. >=)

I like your idea for the opening of a new series, LOL. Let's dream on, shall we? I think you're probably right about not bringing back Ianto. I'm not sure how it could be done convincingly. It's not going to happen anyway. We're all in denial right now though. If they come up with an S4, I'll try it out though. I still like Jack and would watch anything with him in it, just to see what they do with the character.
Of course, I'm very very upset with COE and the complete destruction of the characters I love. I'm really angry with RTD for ruining our show. If I hadn't been a big fan of TW before, I'd probably love COE -in it's way, it was brilliant. But this was just way too much pain to endure for a mere TV show.

Re the opening: It's a perfect start to the episode! What's not to like? lol

COE was good don't get me wrong - it just ended really badly and it ruined the entire series for me. I think your right - if i hadn't been a fan from the start and invested so much in the characters i probably would have really liked it. oh well.

I agree, I think Davies saying he has a 4th season written and ready to go is a mis-direct. I think Torchwood is done. Julie Gardner has moved to LA and is working on a new show, I look on GDL's web page everyday and he was in LA during pilot season and Barrowman seems to be more interested in pursuing his singing/stage career. In recent interviews Barrowman has made angry statements directed towards the BBC and I kind of wonder if they are also for Davies. I know from past interview he was very, very unhappy with Davies for killing off Tosh and Owen. I cannot imagine that he would want to continue the show on this note. I think Davies is a maniac depressive who chose a very passive aggressive way to end what was a great show.

It was such a misdirect. GROW SOME BALLS! JUST ADMIT YOU DON"T WANT TO GO ON!

*ahem* I'm still a touch angry about it all obviously =)
