So..this is what happend last time,
http://community.livejournal.com/bad_service/850452.html#cutid1 The woman I spoke to on July 17th said that the $60 NSF fees were going to be credited back to my account that day, even though when she called they were on next day business. Stupid me, I didn't check the next day to make sure they were back, I just took her word for it.
Cut to this past Monday. I get a letter in the mail saying that we owe the bank a shitload of money because we had things bounce. WTF? I keep a very close eye on my check register. After all my bills were paid, I still should have had $155 in the bank. I checked the balance at an ATM on the 18th and the balance it showed matched what I had. I failed to realize that was the balance after everything was said and done and I didn't notice that my car insurance hadn't went through yet.
When I pay my bills every two weeks, I right those down first. Whatever I have due in the two weeks before the next pay check gets taken out first that way I know what I have left.
Anywho..when I checked the balance, my $90 car insurance payment hadn't cleared yet. I had $155 but I should have had $215, but I was too stupid to realize it. So that's bad on my part.
Anyways..Monday after my doctor appointment, me and the hubby went to the bank. He took $250 out of his savings account to cover everything and leave us with like, $30 in the bank until Wednesday. Today he goes to put his check in, and they tell him that its going to cost him another $150 to get us caught up again. WTF? They gave him a print out for everything from the 17th through today.
I was going through it and comparing it to my check register to figure out where I had screwed up. I was freaking out because I thought I had cost us $400 bucks that we just didn't have. I just started a part time job and I don't get paid until next week. The first thing on the page is the refund for the checks that they charged us for. Which makes sense. They told me that they were going to take care of it on the next business day on Friday, which makes that Monday. After I saw that, I started looking for the $60. Nope. Not there. Even if they didn't credit it back Monday like they said they were going to, it would have showed up on the 18th. Nope. Not there.
So..hmm..lemme lay it out.
Existing balance - 50
Deposit 600
bills and various things in two weeks - 457
left over - $53
But since they didn't credit the $60 back, that caused a chain reaction screwing up everything. As soon as I realized what had happened, I called the bank. Just as my luck would have it, the woman had left for the day. They transferred me to her voicemail and I left her a message. She's sposed to call me in the morning. If I don't here from her first thing, there is going to be hell to pay. I'm pissed off enough as it is. I was put through hell for the past few days.
We are definately switching banks now. I know I should have checked first thing Tuesday morning. I thought everything was going to be ok after all of that. The Carterville branch kissed my ass to get me to not leave after I contacted them to have them resolve our issue. Now because the Marion Branch manager is a complete douch bag, I have to find a new bank.
