What to do with 5 strawberries?

Problem: 
Hidden in the back of the refrigerator are 5 strawberries, just about past their prime.

Possible Solutions:
Toss them to the chickens as a little treat for them.  Time/effort requirement:  10 seconds to walk to end of deck.
Eat them. Time effort requirement:  Neglible
Use them in a strawberry cake roll recipe.  Time/effort requirement:  2

I just now remembered my livejournal name & pwd so I can comment on this exciting entry. ANY entry from you anymore is exciting, true. Since Celia is allergic to strawberries/berries, I never have anything strawberry-ish around the house any more (I would be the only one to eat it). Now I seem to go wild when I see strawberry desserts. So how was the str. cake roll? Did you have to share it? My cooking & baking attempts have been pathetic all winter long--don't come to our house for any good food! :) --Janet
