Oh boy, what a week!

So Mr. P's care package for us finally came! He wasn't kidding, Hazelnut Castles are like, amazing. Like, thanks so much, Mr. P! They're so good I have to hide them from myself so I don't finish them too fast! Um, I know there's not really much I can do from here, but like, if there's anything I can ever do to help you with ( Read more... )

Do you actually care about the World Cup, or are you pretending in order to get "closer" to Mr. Portsman?

Nope, I've got plenty to work with without having to pretend. J and I get along pretty well already, so I don't need to. I'd, like, never ever want to see a guy I had to BS my interests around! After faking my life for a year before I got here, I'd rather die than go through that again, to be like, flat-out honest. But I won't lie that, like, it's nice to have more stuff to talk about with him.

I do like American football a bit more than soccer though. Basketball's never been a big thing with me either.

Oh yeah, and I like baseball and hockey too. Racing's always gonna be my fave though.

Yes, a shame about that little accident.

As for the World Cup, I'm rooting for Argentina, but Mexico's my second choice. I've been impressed by El Tri this year, even if they don't win.

R-Right. Gonna try to make sure that won't happen twice!

Ooh, Argentina, huh? I heard they had some really talented guys. Uruguay too. But I'm sorta' wondering how Japan will do this year.

That's a good resolution. I hope you stick to it.

Japan? That would be a first. If you like underdogs, that's a good team to back.

I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the hazelnut castles so much, Ms. Miney. If I do send another care package, I'll be sure to include more of them for you.

I can't think of anything I need help with at the moment, but it's kind of you to make such an offer, thank you.

Sadly, Cohdopia does not participate in the World Cup, but I do enjoy seeing who wins when it's held. Some of the ambassadors from countries who have teams grow quite impassioned about it. It's nice to see so much enthusiasm.

Like, thanks so much, Mr. P! Yeah, they were, like, a big hit with everyone I let try one around here!

Oh? Maybe someday you guys can, like, set up a team! It'd be fun to cheer for you!

I'm so happy to hear that. They're a very popular item here at the embassy as well. I'll have to send some more along, if they've improved the prisoners' morale so much.

My apologies, I was unclear. Cohdopia does indeed have a national team, and there is a Cohdopian Football Federation, but you have to qualify to participate in the World Cup, and so far, we never have. Only 32 countries play in the World Cup, but around 200 or more try to qualify!

Someday, I hope our team is able to participate. That will certainly be a proud day for Cohdopia. Unfortunately, in this most recent World Cup qualifying campaign, we received the most red and yellow cards of any team.

We do have a Cohdopian Cup, however!

Oh! My bad. Guess I kinda' forgot about the qualifying matches. I usually don't get around to, like, seeing them. I hope Cohdopia's team can enter the finals someday!

Ooh, the Cohdopian Cup, huh? Sounds cool! I'll have to read up on that.

Did the Ambassador send you any of the bay leaf mints? I like them - more every time I have one, actually. If you're interested, I can spare a few.

Maybe next time you guys play Aahnruhde you could use a referee.

I think if you like having red hair, you should keep it.

No, but I've been hearing a lot about them! Ooh, that sounds good! I can, like, bring a few Hazelnut Castles for you too if you want! (That is, if I can keep Portsman away from what's left. That guy's got a super sweet tooth, I swear!)

Yeah, I guess so, huh? Well, I used to be a brunette, but I kinda' dyed my hair for a certain reason. I didn't like it at first, but I guess, like, maybe it's grown on me a little? Red is my favorite color. Heh, Paups said with my hair parted a bit more I look like a movie star. She's sucha' sweetheart.
