Call the LandLord ASAP. This is a rental, and things like this MUST be made aware before it becomes a BIG issue. He may even bring in a steam cleaner because you are not responsible for structural issues, like catastrophic issues (flooding.)

Check with Rob and Marsha, but don't leave it go.
