Gay Rights
I can't add much to what sheepwhatsleeps said about the meme being passed around. On the one hand, it seems essentially costless. On the other hand, it presumes a level of authority that strikes me as...laughable? Who the hell is the author of this to judge me? I hardly think anyone should have to prove their bona fides to some random folks on LJ. Especially given how well we all know one another.
So, here's the quote you're supposed to put up. I provide this merely as a public service, not because it accurately reflects my own feelings on the subject:

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on LiveJournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.

Now, if you would actually like to do something about gay rights, here are some thoughts:
Give some money.
Register as a minister in order to perform marraige ceremonies for all those who want them.
Engage in some good, old-fashioned civil disobedience.
Vote.
