And Thank God for his support in the surgery room. The surgery is now over and everything went well. Preliminary tests (quick biopsies of the stuff they had to cut out as they cut it out) show that the cancer had not spread beyond what they had known about before, and as a great plus, they were able to preserve my dad's entire stomach. Yay God
