I don't know if anyone else has noticed the underlying tension over our upcoming election, but I think there's a lot more going on than most are willing to talk about. My mind is heavily drawn to the 1968 presidential race. There are different stressors at work here, but the same deep tension like a nation all white-knuckling at once. Dirty men

It's nice to see someone else as outraged by all of this as I am. I have an "Obama 08" sticker on my car, and when I went home to TN, my parents said that Obama had "mental problems," hated America, and was going to get shot someday. Scares the living shit out of me to think that this is the country that is supposed to be the envy of the rest of the world.
