Have you talked to Nick about why you are doing things? I'm certain that would help to not drive him away if he understands where the behavior is coming from.

As for Adam...I know it's hard, but really? A clean break and not letting yourself see his shit is best for you.

Alright so first off the stuff with adam will just never go away it will get better but its not going any where. I have been divorced for years now and remarried and I still think of what went wrong with my marriage and how that will effect who I am now in my new marriage. Relationships are always going to be a piece of you . What you can not do is allow your self to not be yourself around Nick this is not fair to him. You do not need someone in your life who does not love you for who you really are and by censoring yourself with Nick you are not allowing him to be the person you need. Rejection yes it hurts like a son of a bitch but hiding yourself from Nick will only turn out poorly it is not fair to either of you. He needs to know what he is getting into and you need to know if he can love you for all of your faults as well as all of the wonderful things that make you Becca.
