hah .. they (caps) are in Florida. That's basically why we don't have any doctors/physicians .. the malpractice laws run them out of the state. That and lack of residency programs.
Odd that you have to write a paper about that, there was an article on the university newspaper about that topic today as to what it means towards our upcoming med school.
i've always been so against caps. to limit what a person can recover is to suggest that one size should fit. it's a limit to our justice system and a blatent disgrace to injured victims (98,000) each year who have been the victims of grose medical negligence by doctors.
what's worse is that insurance companies propagate this belief that the reason premiums are soo high is because of lawyers. Yet the CEOs of insurance companies are walking away with huggggge salaries.
ooooh but that certainly doesn't fit 25 pages.. soo yeah.. back to work
