Life is weird sometimes

Last Thursday, Craig and I bought a used dishwasher on eBay. On Sunday, I called the seller to arrange pick-up in New Jersey for today at 6 p.m. Turns out the man is a retired diesel mechanic for the post office, and his wife worked there as well. He might have been specifically hoping to freak you out, too. I mean, you are low risk, seeing as you don't really know them, don't travel in their circles, etc.

Or maybe you just seemed cool via conversation and he didn't feel the need to cover up?

I don't know. Truthfully, the cross-dressing wasn't the weird part. They were very odd totally outside of that. I mean, I know cross-dressers and have friends and acquaintances of every stripe and I'd venture to say that I've associated with people pretty far out of the mainstream, and these folks were just very strange to me.
I've said it before, how weird do you have to be to make one of our crowd think you're weird?
