Sitting alone at a table in Blue Hour drinking a plum martini and watching well-dressed creative types come in and out, I thought how beautiful, hip, and successful people in Portland are. heh. we tried to go to blue hour tonight, but it was closed...

alright chris, so you're a hip (hep?) portlander, what are some of your favorite bar type places in portland? this will be my first summer with a lovely id and lovely id-clad friends with whom to hop.

Most of my friends are not id clad as of yet. Lame. This means we have become big fans of the Pied Cow and the Kennedy School and that I'm still a woefully incompetent bar hopper. Both the Cow and Kennedy are neat locations which allow some people to drink (heavily) while others are spectating. My favorite bar so far is The Alibi.
Tiki. Karaoke. Free Stove Top and meatballs at midnight! A brilliant combination that I cannot imagine is easily matched in Portland or elsewhere.
