I Used to Complain, Now I Don't

White Rabbits, folks. You gotta have it. So far, my favorite album of 2007. As I recall, the last band to make such an impact with their debut was Arcade Fire. The rhythm section is absolutely kick ass, and the sound well-balanced between the instrumentation and the vocals.

Kid On My Shoulders.
While We Go Dancing
I Used To Complain, Now I Don't
March of the Camels

There isn't a disappointing track on the cd.

Stone angels as assassins on Dr Who--brilliant! Once again, this episode proves that you don't always need super-duper sophisticated special effects to create the scary and the creepy. Just some well-placed camera angles and nifty lighting and editing.

I like Steven Moffat's writng. I like The Girl in the Fireplace; although it seems that most people don't. It's such a bittersweet romance. And that's one of the subtle qualities in Moffat's writing, evident in Blink as well; a certain something that you can't have as life goes on, and it remains a bittersweet memory.Blink also requires less suspension of disbelief than usual when watching this series. It's a timey-wimey thingy that actually made sense. Definitely my favorite of the lot.

There are some fine actors that appear each week on the show; notably the actress who plays Sally Sparrow, the evil Baines from Family of Blood (who is also Charles Dicken's great, great, great, great grandson), and the hot wicked witch in that Shakepeare episode.

And, tangential to everything else here, currently in my freezer are:

Haagen Daz's Vanilla Swiss Almond. Yummy.
Ben & Jerry's Turtle Soup. Yummy!
Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns. S'okay. Too sweet.
Ben & Jerry's S'mores. OMG!!!

dr who, ice cream, music, white rabbits
