and i like that fullmetal alchemist quote. although i think, equivalent exchange does exist. the only thing is that we don't dictate what is equivalent to that of what we give. so sometimes, we give up all of ourselves, only to find out we're not that much in the greater scheme of things... ergo, we choose our battles wisely. ^^
