I've decided to start running.  I have a dog.  He hates the pace I walk.  We've been working on him walking to my pace for a million years now and he just can't do it.  Not often anyway.  So, I figured, I might as well run.  I definatly could use the getting in shape, so why not.  And with Florida as my home, I don't really have to worry about not ( Read more... )

Yay! I get a gold star!!! (I read the whole thing!) That's two for me now!

As for the lost puppy... The humane society has a no kill policy. So, stop worrying about that. They give puppies that they've had for too long to places that can always use them. Good places... I worked for a humane society in my hometown that used to donate puppies to foster families. Kids always want dogs.

As for sports... If you ever want to get away, let me know. We can hang out.

Yeah....it's football season and that's really the only team i get into INTO...like watch every game into and get pissed and all that. I love the Cubbies, but football I understand better, it's a fall sport, it's only once a week...there are so many upsides to football.

But if there is any other's I think of I'll let you know. Maybe some spooky halloween icons. Like spiderwebs and bat's and witches and moons.

Ooh! Maybe Harry Potter one's or Nightmare Before Christmas. Man, I need me some photoshop...cause i can see what I'm picturing.....AH! Maybe one day.....

If it's a puppy, the society won't manage to keep it in there for more than 24 hours. ANd I"m really serious about that.
I'm really proud of you for the running. Keep it up. Eventually it becomes addictive. If your sore, make sure yoiu stretch really well after the run and eat a banana. B vitamins and folic acid help your muscles not be so sore.
And I'll take that gold star as well, thank you very much

Yeah, I'm proud about the running too. I wish I could go now and get my run out of the way but, I can't. Did I ever mention Florida SUCKS! It's like 90 out and really humid. I hate that so so so so so much!

Thanks for the advice. I was sore yesterday but today I'm not. I even thought that when I was teaching. I said to myself....wow, I'm not sore at all...that's great! I better keep up the good work. But I didn't know about the banana's. I'll be sure to get some.

I once heard that the greatest cure for soreness is more of what made you sore to begin with. SOrt of like drinking. I played flag football the other day- that made me sore. SOmetimes it's fun though, because you feel cool all day, like, "I hurt because I worked out. I"m cool."

Aww.. poor puppy! Bless your heart for taking him in. If he is as adorable as it sounds I have a feeling he will go home with a loving family.
