I was given the advice not to read the last bit till later...after I had finished the book.  And let me tell you...I'm sure glad I waited.  Talk about a puke fest.  Jesus.  From this moment on I do not consider that part of the book.  The story will forever in my mind end where it did and I never ever saw 19 years later.

Besides, Harry is supposed ( Read more... )

But what happens to Crookshanks after they vacate the Burrow? As a future crazy cat lady, this really bothers me.

And yeah, I missed it in my first read, but when they get to Bill's it's March, so that's literally three months of nothing happening.

I think maybe JK was trying to show how hard it was to be hiding from Voldiepants and how in control he was of everything... maybe?

Maybe, really I don't know. It just seems like such a long time for them to really have just been hiding. And couldn't they have been practicing something...anything that would have helped them? Couldn't they have utilized that time to become....Augmenti...that's the word right? I think...you know like his dad and Sirius and Wormtail? That would have been cool if they did that. Instead all that time passes and it's just them thinking of Hallows and Horcrux's.

I'm ALWAYS up for creating HP icons!!! I'll track down some photos too. I've got a great site for it. Any characters in particular?

I was going to write my own book review but you hit on most of the same things I thought. I too thought the middle was a bit slow and even boring. I'm not sure how so little plot could take up so many pages... I loved the Snape bit. LOVED IT!! I hated the ending of the last one- not because dumbledore died but because snape killed him. I'd always wondered (sort of desperately) if maybe it hadn't been on dumbledores orders for some unknown reason. I also loved the bit at the end between Dumbledore and Harry. Really well done ( ... )
