Well, there's a cheerful thought, doc. Who could it be, this strongman? Pence is rather one-dimensional, i don't think the illiberal will fall in love with him after Trump's ouster. Paul Ryan could fit the bill, but he's not a Senator (thank god), and people just don't like him. Mitch McConnell is a turtle; all he has on his side is longevity.
