Not my day

I am sitting in my nice new home office, very busy with a project, which should be occupying all my attention. Instead I'm shaking and on the verge of tears. I took my dog for a walk half an hour ago and while investigating some ground cover in the area between the sidewalk and the street he made three or four powerful backleg digs into the ground ( Read more... )

Don't let the bitch get to you. There is something wrong with someone who "anonymously" bellows "bitch" at a neighbor who has already apologized. Sounds like she's stressed to the point where it is loosening her screws, especially since it wasn't even her yard!

I am so there with you! That kind of thing can completely ruin my day, and the day afterward. Do you remember when we were at the aquarium and that woman was so nasty to me? You said " That was uncalled for!" to her, and I was SO grateful! Don't let the bastards get you down.

Ha -- all I remember about that day was what a great job your sister did handling her son's climbing urge. But it shows how easy it is (for me) to bark back in someone else's defense, but never for myself.

She sounds like a nutjob...the city must be full of them...deep down you know you didn't deserve the treatment she gave you...you apologized! Some people are just plain MEAN...even family, and I know you know that...don't be that tiger with the stuffing all pulled out! Love- your S-I-L for the past 35 years...

We were in a dense crowd, and a little (very little) girl walked up between and past us, followed by her mother's groping hand. Without even thinking, I put my hand on the little girl's shoulder to slow her down so her mom could reach her. The mother snarled "*I* can take care of her, *I'M* her mother!" I was speechless (or else I would have said, "Well, apparently you CAN'T because here she is, getting away from you in the crowd!" but I was still trying to figure out what she'd said, it was so unexpected. And you said, *very* loudly, "That was uncalled-for!"

I was just standing there with my mouth hanging open.

You were, however, magnificent.
