Amazing you can be broke and straving go into a store with a gun use it steal money and die. But if you rape a child with out killing it (but leaving it to relive your crime everyday for the rest of its life which is murder of the soul) you have right to life? Yet unborn children are not even given that in this country! UGH! I know I sound pretty republician about now but I too vote independently though I am very conservative. Great post!

Yeah i'm pretty sure that people regardless of political party agree that pedophiles just deserve to be immediately sent to a special dark pit of agony... and death is the fastest mode of travel...

I've always been against the death penalty. It's too easy. I would rather see someone rot away in a cell with no hope of redemption than get the easy way out. "Sorry I killed 34 people and raped a baby! *death* No, murderers and rapists should be forced to go to a jail that isn't a resort. No TV, no place to relax and work out. 5-10 to a cell. Absolute hell on earth where you are treated like an animal without any hope of ever being released (aside from being proven innocent).

Also, rapists are treated like the slime of the earth they are even by other convicted felons. Perhaps the death penalty wouldn't be official, but I bet if they weren't kept seperate and their crimes were "accidentally" leaked out, they wouldn't last very long.

I'm also for forced sterilization of rapists.

now i would whole-heartedly agree with you... specially the castration part. However, no one realizes that WE pay for THEIR LIVES after they go to prison. Our tax dollars pay for THEIR food, clothing, bathing, drinks, bed. Everything. I refuse to to let a person rape a child and then spend MY money on keeping that slime ball alive let alone making the CHILD also pay once the gov't starts taxing them. Every time that child, now an adult, looks and sees that tax cut, they know that money goes to the piece of shit that fucked them... kill the motherfuckers and help the kids past what happened as best you can.

Well I agree that if we kept things the way they are now, that would be how it worked. But I'm suggesting hell on earth for prisons. Stripped of humanity, fewer cells, moldy bread kind of thing. The costs saved on all the gyms and TVs, healthcare (which is better than most people on the outside can get),other services...once those are gone with any luck expenses would be down

I understand what your getting at. I personally believe in Karma and reincarnation, so in my mind this guy's next life is gonna suck hardcore.
On the issue of prisons, I totally think that they should reinstate the chain gang and make the prisoners work for the funding of their prisons. They should be cleaning 20/7, assisting in construction, whatever hard labor we can think of. I am very disheartened with the penal system... but that's an entirely different topic for another day...
