Well, I'm just reeling with excitement from having seen one of my absolute idols in concert last night - Bryn Terfel, Welsh bass-baritone, the sexiest man in the world. He may be middle-aged with the physique of a grizzly bear, but he's the sexiest man in the world regardless

My wife and I were at the concert - (I'm Welsh born). It was very enjoyable but didn't you feel let down that he only sang half the concert? I'm sure that was not made clear in the advertisements. 'The Age' reviewer referred to it as a 'taste' of Terfel and I'd have to agree with him. I really wanted more for my $240 of seats.

I didn't feel let down, I expected that given that it was principally the Verbier Festival Orchestra's concert- but it's easier for me to be satisfied given that, as a music student, I received heavily discounted tickets. I was only disappointed in that I would vastly have preferred to have an opportunity to see 2 hours of Bryn Terfel! It's such a shame that artists of his calibre appear in Melbourne so infrequently.
