About a month ago, I discovered a site that claims to predict your Day of Death. "The Internet's friendly reminder that life is slipping away..." is its tagline. With minimal data (birthdate, gender, "body/mass index," smoker/nonsmoker), not only does it name an exact date of one's demise, but a little clock pops up counting down the seconds

Wow, what a moving essay on the brevity of life and the impact of death on those left behind. It was as much a tribute to your parents as to your coming to terms with your last million seconds. (Give or take...) You have a brilliant knack for weaving humor in and out of serious comments on a dark subject. I look forward to more postings on your Live, Or Dead, Journal.
