I figure I should comment on this to thank you for entertaining us all for a while! It's been a long trip since Johnny first got pulled in two! :)
I can SO understand your reasoning for wanting to call this quits now. I definitely know what you mean about there being some people who can't seem to separate the little jokes we all have about the boys from reality, and it's VERY understandable that you wouldn't want to be...connected to that.
That's all right about the prizes... it's been great when you've come back and rejuvenated the whole ChibBeatles project -- seriously, you never failed to make me laugh. Doing the egg hunt was really fun to go back and rediscover some of the comics that I remembered reading back in '05... and really, that's how I found LJ and all the wonderful Beatles communities. So I have to say an immense thank you, Jen, and hope you take care. :)
I saw this coming, seeing as you hadn't updated since the easter egg. It's a shame, this made me laugh harder than I had ever laugh in the fandom. Bon Voyage :) you'll be greatly missed, but I can see why you're stopping.
As for the straw, yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah. I know of who you speak. I never liked that. Ever. Paul can be a girl, and act spoiled, but.........what? seriously?
I'm sorry to hear that you're calling it quits, given that I only discovered ChibBeatles a few weeks ago. Still, I've had a great time reading your back catalogue. I'm not much of a slasher myself, so I always appreciated the irony and humor that you brought to the idea. And especially your lovely characterization of Brian. :)
...and someday soon, when I escape from this house and not so beaten down by circumstances, if I don't up and die first ... then I might just try to pick up where you left off ... kinda.
Y'see, what you were doing with ChibBeatles! was pretty close to what I did daily in 1966-68 in high school study hall ~~ a Brian & His Boys comic strip. Even the class president looked forward to them, hahaa.
However, I don't think I could ever take it to your level, such an exquisite level of drawingness, if you will. The expressions and the poses and the gestures were simply perfection. You could do Brian as no one else ever could. WAHH! I WANNA DO BRIAN! Simplicity is the key. The less lines drawn, the better he looks! Mostly, you made me look at him in wacky ways I would never have dreamed. Hee hee. While (basically) keeping his dignified image intact, IMO. I could go on and on.
Ah well, all things must pass. Forever thanks, Jen. ♥

I would pay good money to see those. :)
You're right to draw attention to the wonderful subtlety of ChibBeatles. Though the plots were wacky, the characters were always so well observed. I think of it as like the webcomic version of Help!

So anyway, thanks! It's been a good ride. :)

Totally understand about it, though.
