Q1 Yamapi’s clumsy part is?
I don’t know a clumsy Yamashita-kun! Usually, he has nothing but a cool and stylish image. At the same time, he’s stoic. Some time ago, in order to tighten his muscles he went on a no salt diet. Before the tour, when everyone went to eat together, everyone was eating meat he was eating nothing but salad. I was moved by that strong will.
Q2 Koyama’s reliable part is?
Kei-chan is good at softening the atmosphere in a place, and he’s a person who can match with other people’s opinions. That part makes him reliable. For me, when there’s something that I can’t stand, that sort of attitude shows right away but when it does, he controls it for me. To me, he feels like a person who’s like an older brother.
Q3 Ryo-chan’s nice part is?
He’s a nice person to begin with. He’s a person who is really watchful of his surroundings. During the rehearsal for the tour, if I get worried because of a problem with the equipment, he’s the first one to notice and come running. At first glance, you can see that he’s cool and aloof but if you try opening up his door you’ll understand that he’s a warm person. But when I first met him he was blond and scary (laugh).
Q4 Shige’s sloppy part is?
I often hear him talk about loosing his wallet or loosing things. But, from the start, he doesn’t have a sloppy image. He’ll definitely abide by his time and keep promises. In me, there’s an image of Shige being a smart person. Because the way his brain works is fast. I think he’s a person who perceives everything with a wide outlook and who’s good at doing two things at the same time.
Q5 Massu’s scary part is?
When he’s in a bad mood he’s scary~ . Because a kinda of “don’t talk to me” aura comes out we know right away. He’s especially irritated in the mornings. It’s not really that he his ability to wake up is bad. He’s the type that wakes up 2 hours before he has to leave the house. But basically he’s a nice and gentle person.
Q6 Tegoshi’s unskilled part is?
I’m unskilled~. When everyone went to eat nabe (hot pot) I thought I’d put the food in the pot and I did it but I spilt a lot of it. As expected, it was better that I didn’t do it and I always regret it. I suck at drawing too. I say that a lot, but it could be art (laugh). I can turn my skill to sports but I’m kind of bad at subtle movements.
Q7 The part of NEWS you like is?
Probably that each person’s personality is strong. We each have things we want to do, we each do various jobs and when we’re together we get motivated. But we’ve adopted a proper balance. That’s what I think NEWS’ charm is.
