NEW DRAMA SEASON! ♥ ♥ ♥

Atashinchi no Dashi: Horikita Maki and six hot dudes.

It has the same feel to it that HanaKimi and Mei-chan no Shitsuji did. That goofy, heart-warming slapstick-ness. Which is AWESOME. It's not as crazy as Mei-chan, but not as well done as HanaKimi... yet. >:D

Copied and pasted synopsis:

These days, the term "homeless" has taken on new meaning. There are youths referred to as "net cafe refugees," who have neither a job nor a place to live, but who find themselves hopping around internet cafes. One such refugee is a 20-year-old girl named Chisato, who lost her mother at a young age due to sickness. She spent her youth trying to escape from the huge debt her father left her, and her battle with the repossessors unfolded every night. However, her life changed after meeting one man named Shinzo, changing her views on the meaning of "family." Shinzo comes from a rich family tracing back to the Edo period, and he adopted six good-looking sons with the hope of one becoming his successor, but all of them have strange personalities. Shinzo promises to free Chisato from her debt if she marries him and becomes the mother of his sons. However, a life with these six guys under one roof will not go smoothly...

Verdict: Adorable. The second episode was just posted now; first ep soft subs are already out. I'll probably end up squee-ing about this one for a while.

Meitantei no Okite: Matsuda Shota making fun of mystery.

I haven't actually watched this yet. I just got bummed because Querbeet is subbing it, but they're doing the hard subs first. Poo. Downloaded for nothing. Of course, it's still a mystery, so I don't want to watch the raw, ruin the ending for myself, but only half understand what the eff is going on. >_<

Copied and pasted synopsis:

The original writing is a short mystery collection that takes a humorous approach to many of the genre's cliches. Matsuda stars as the "famous detective" Tenkaichi Daigoro, while Kashii Yu plays the female lead as a rookie cop.

Verdict: I haven't seen it yet, but pretty much all of it is totally up my ally. Hot Matsuda Shota, mystery, satirical comedy. ♥ I read a longer blurb somewhere else, and it was talking about how the poke fun at the fact that no one can find Matsuda Shota unless there's a crime scene to investigate; then he just pops up. X3

Smile: MatsuJun. ...that is all.

Again, I'm waiting on subs for this one, but I might watch it in the meantime anyways. I feel so out of touch with the inner Arashi circle, so if anyone knows of subs that are already out, let me know! :D

For a second, I legitimately forgot what this drama was about... I just saw Jun-duck in it, and was like, "Obligation! *downloads*" XD He does really well in his dramas though, even the stuff that doesn't peak my interest.

Copied and pasted synopsis:

Hayakawa Bito has a Filipino father and a Japanese mother, but he was born and raised in Japan and has never visited the Philippines. The ever-smiling Bito works at Machimura Foods during the day, and at night, he works a part-time job trying to make his dreams come true. One day during an incident at a bookstore, he meets a girl named Mishima Hana, who lost her ability to speak due to an accident. But even though she can't speak, Bito is drawn to her beautiful smile. However, Bito becomes wrongly suspected by the police for a crime, and after meeting the lawyer Kazuma, the issue begins to grow... Together, Bito, Hana, and Kazuma will go through challenging times and have to overcome many obstacles.

Verdict: ...this is going to be horrendously sad. I just have one of those feelings. Also, people that had already said that "Bito"'s name is actually Vito. Annnddd there are some racial slurs against Filipinos in it. I think they're in good taste though... ♥ you, Mischa!!! :D

Majo no Saiban: Toma in an angsty legal drama. Yum!

This one doesn't actually start airing until the 25th, but it sounded really good/I'll totally forget to look into it if I don't post it here. :D

Copied and pasted synopsis:

Toru is a young part-timer who has no interest in social issues. He gets called in as a juror in the trial of a woman labeled as a "witch", charged with a murder over an enormous inheritance. Though it appears that she is definitely guilty, one by one the jurors begin casting their votes for "not guilty." From the shadows, there is a mysterious organization buying control of the jury. At the same time, strange events start happening around Toru. When another juror is threatened, Toru is determined to save her. However, Toru's girlfriend, a newspaper reporter, seems suspicious of their relationship. And so, Toru begins his lonely fight for the truth.

Verdict: I like suspense, but I don't like legal dramas a whole ton. But I do like Ikuta Toma, and he's a phenomenal actor, so... Plus, I really liked the fact that in the beginning he doesn't have an interest in social issues. Yay! Normal dude!

matsuda shota be smokin', i prefer horikita maki being a bitch, new drama seasons jump start my life
