Is it just me, or does it seem to actually be fashionable to be or pretend to be a nerd?

You're merely witnessing a trend in progress. Somebody's profitiing off this trend, so it will continue as long as this is the case- eventually, it will cease, only to be replaced by a new trend.

(BTW: where the hell have you been? It's been nearly two years since you posted last!)

It's pretty complicated. Maybe I'll make a proper post about or something. I apologize for just disapearing, I've made a nasty habit of it, on the net and in real life. To sum it up in the past two years I've lost my chance at finishing high school (the homeschooling program I got into turned out to be this huge scam and I found myself without a highschool to attend, I've got my GED though), became addicted to alcohol, among other things (which I've gotten out of - I'm totally sober now aside from cigarettes, which I'm working on). Basically my life fell apart but I've picked up the pieces and am doing well :)

Thank you for showing concern - it means a lot to me.

Sounds like fun :P I've had a pretty rough road myself, but I was just getting in deep when you disappeared. Nice to see you've survived your ordeal.

What's gone on with you? I know you were homeless... Have things gotten better?
