I wonder if any of my fellow Tolkienists have ever noticed the parallels between Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen (Ring Cycle)" and Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings"...I know this comparison has been DUG INTO THE GROUND, but I have nothing better to talk about ( Read more... )

well beign that alli know about wagner was he was a nazi well at least hitler loved him i cant say much about anything.

Well, he was anti-semitic ...I don't think that qualifies as being a Nazi, but if it does than I know a LOT of Nazis O_O;; lol

well his family associated with hitler and his sister dated hitler and hitler loved wagner. techniclly he was a nazi.
I like to tell people Im jewish. hehe...

Well, from what I remember methinks Hitler wanted to be associated with Wagner's family beacuse he was obsessed o_o Wagner died like 40 years before Hitler began doing his beginnings of Nazi-ism. BUT...let's call him an old school NAZI. GRRRR. lol :p
