You are brilliant. Consider (as I once did) a degree in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge. I rejoice in your mastery of the eddic form, especially since I seem to have lost my copy of Heaney's Beowulf in Hawaii.

I'm not sure I can substitute for Heaney, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! I don't think I could hack Anglo-Saxon, though my little brother the Medievalist has been working on it. He's moving to your neck of the woods, at least if you are still in Toronto. How are you? I haven't heard from you in forever! (which is probably fair enough, given my skills as a correspondent)
