Hopefully if my boss gets a new job soon and we move to the new place with uber fast internet, I'll be on WoW again and more frequently. Seriously - PANDAMONK.
People tend to come and go in cycles, I've seen. The difference with WoW is that people tend to quit for a few months, then come back, whereas with other MMOs if someone says they're quitting they're probably gone for good. Thing is that I think pretty much the whole reason he's quitting instead of just dialing back his playtime is the interpersonal issues - homeboy had his transmog set ready and was pumped as hell for 4.3. :( He's planning on playing SW:TOR when it comes out, so at least I'll get to play with him again soonlike.

Sorry about your WoW friend going. It's an MMORPG thing tho. I've lost a lot of them over the years too. It's easy to burn out. >_>
