I had paragraphs from three different chapters analyzed - and got three different answers - none of which I know what they write.

Harry Harrison, Raymond Chandler, and Dan Brown. O.o

I guess I'll go looks at what they've written.

Harry Harrison! The Stainless Steel Rat. *love* I highly recommend, especially the earlier books (didn't like it as much when the kids showed up).

And Chandler - one of the greats of the hard boiled dick genre. The Big Sleep is still one of the classics. (personally, I like him better than Hammett, although it's a close race.)

Don't know about Dan Brown - I've gotten the same result on some of my chapters.

Ooh - I've got to try this.

PS - I know who HG Wells is. :P

Chapter 2 of Maintaining - JD Salinger (who I haven't read for some reason)

Chapter 10 & 28 - Issac Asimov (and for several more of my stories)

Chapter 24 & 39 - Stephen King

I'll take King and Asimov - that is more like my usual style - the Salinger chapter was me trying to get the story up to speed.

I also got Chuck Palahniuk a couple of times - who I admit knowing nothing of.
