Sadly, I have lost contact with so many people over the years that it took me a while to figure out who you were. This is because I suck. I used my mad DETECTORING SKILLS to figure it out though and am now feeling very proud of myself.
I will do my best to get more pictures of food-it is now festival season and it strikes me that Enquiring Minds may Want to Know what exactly is in all of the booths at your average festival. In the meantime, feel free to look in on jeanniebayb. She works in another high school on the Noto peninsula and is quite into food. I like food a lot, but I very rarely get excited enough about it to write more than a sentence or so. Sadly, the pictures on her journal appear to not be working now, but hopefully they will be fixed soon.
Wow! Your detectoring skills are even better than mine! I can't believe you remembered my brother's site. That is crazy stuff, right there. I'm afraid I neither MySpace nor Facebook; (I do enjoy turning them into verbs, however) it is a matter of principle. The other Noto JETs are constantly trying to convince me to join, thereby waking up my innate contrariness. So, it is unlikely I will join any time soon.
I think your life is nifty! It will be my life (with a few details changed) once I get back from Japan, so I am hardly going to knock it. Also, you cannot say things like "my life has gotten EXTREMELY bizarre" without following it up! That is just evil!
We must e-mail! Or chat or something! do you use gchat and/or skype at all?

not yet. I have to take the test next Tuesday. I had a lesson on what is expected in the test, and I think it is pretty hard. You basically have to memorize and go through an obstacle course of sorts. They say that most foreigners fail the first (few) time(s). V. Nervous.
Hahahhahaaha OH NOES!

I wonder where *that* came from!
I have to say *piffle* to your story of responsibility, as you weren't responsible for the bad weather and in the end came out all right.
In my case, I failed to realize that Lake Travis is more like 1.5hrs away from Campus rather than the 45 I allotted, and one of the two horse riding groups I was supposed to organize got stiffed. Basically the first group made it in time for the second session, and the second session was S.O.L. There was much sadness and no alcohol. Ueee.....

Yeah, I was all like "oh no! My identity is totally easily found! If somebody happens to remember that you are my brother and remembers where your site is and goes there and figures out that the handle is me, I am DOOOOOOMED"
Ok, I guess your annoying was bigger than mine. I guess I am just annoyed because we turned out not to really need the second cabin and if we hadn't gotten it, we would have been able to make back the money for the food.
