[At first, RED thought the barking was Teriyaki, ready for his breakfast; however, it didn't sound quite right. Finding the source of the barking was his phone, he saw the name displayed on the screen. For a moment, he couldn't believe it, having been trying to find Chibi's position using the map for day snow. Surprisingly hopeful, he clicked the button.]
[Barking rapidly a few times, Chibi nods when RED mentions home, but paws at the screen as though saying. "I came back to see you" which was pretty much it.]
[RED was quiet for a moment, just undeniably relieved to see the pup. Though he had Teriyaki, he wasn't quite the same as Chibi. The pup- who was reportedly more than that, if what BLU said was true- was the first person in Paradise he'd felt he could talk to.
Even so, he'd been somewhat avoiding Chibi since he found out Pyro had been in his body, that he'd revealed his affections directly to her rather than in confidence to his friend. Since the pup had gone missing, RED had thought he'd missed his opportunity to apologize and reconnect with him. He smiled again, pleased for second chances.]
Hey, Ringo. Where are you? I really oughtta speak to you in person, mate.

The park. Got it. You stay there, okay?
[He pressed the button again, cutting off the feed. Finding his clothes quickly, he and his crutches were out the door in a matter of minutes. He decided against taking Teriyaki with him- for one, he thought the puppy might get jealous, and he really did need to have some alone time with Chibi, just to clear things up.
He limped into the park, making his way to the playground. Easing onto a bench, he gave a low whistle.]
[Having tucked his 3STP away into that unknown space under his reflector he kept everything, Chibi had settled down to wait for that tell-tale indication his friend had arrived.
A lot had happened in the short time he had been gone, leaving him more mature, but still largely the same as he had been.
The whistle brought him trotting over though, tail wagging cheerfully.]
[RED's smile returned as soon as Chibi came in sight. He reached into his ammo pouch, producing a blueberry muffin and offering it to the pup.]
I didn't forget to bring you somethin', just in case you were 'ungry.
[He reached out gingerly to put a hand on Chibi's head, caution warning him to somehow make sure this really was Chibi and not some trick again. Of course, there wasn't a way to tell simply through petting him- he would've known the first time, had that been the case- but it was an urge he couldn't resist.]
[Barking happily, Chibi took and proceeded to devour the offered treat, though he did pause when RED's hand rested on his head, cocking his head and licking at his fingers.
[Finishing what was left of the muffin, Chibi barked once and hopped on the bench, being careful to not step on RED as he sort of draped over his lap. he remembered the crutches and what they meant at least.]
[Chibi was a lot more courteous than Teriyaki, though RED knew there were reasons behind that. Terr, as smart as he was, was a normal dog.
He ran his hand along Chibi's back, giving him a thorough scratching.]
It's been too long, mate. I meant to talk to you sooner, but things got, er. Complicated. And I don't know if you were here when we had all those people show up outta the blue.
Ringo, is that you?

[He considered asking how, but then remembered he was talking to a dog. Right.]
Well, I s'ppose the important part is that you're back.

But he was all too happy to pick up the 3STP and let him see the playground that he usually relaxed at when things were quiet.]

But he whined softly, wanting to know what was complicated.]
