I finished a sock today, using my hand dyed yarn. The length and width are perfect my only problem is the heel. This is the same problem I had with the last pair I made. It feels like the heel is too tall. If I pull up the heel at my achilles tendon and fold it over it feels perfect but I don't know to solve this problem. A different heel or

Yes, different heel. There are so, so many different sock patterns. And so many heels. It will take time to find one that works for you.

But you know, you CAN try socks as you work on them. And you could unravel the entire sock and just make a different pattern. Or you could gift them to someone with enormous heels. :P
