california is awesome. I have to say I am having so much fun so far. the store hasn't really opened yet, so thus far I have been doing nothing while at work worth mentioning. however, after work has been a blast!! So as already stated, Pan's Labyrinth was freaking amazing. It was beautiful and gorey and whimsical and realistic all at the same time. Really, it's one of the few movies that made me both squirm (the monster in it seriously looks like something that walked out of a Tool claymation video only scarier) and smile deliriously in the same two hours. I Just got back from my first hockey game ever (Islanders vs Sabers). My god, SO MUCH FUN! Cheryl brought the original Enforcer hat for me to wear so that I had something Islanders on, and I got free beer courtesy of Mr. Wes Anderson! (It's a long, but true story. Ask Cheryl). So it turns out, forcing myself to do positive things for myself, even when I totally do not even remotely want to, is starting to help me cheer up a bit. I'm going to see a psychiatrist next week.
