Honestly, it's not just the Japanese that are afraid of your face. I could have sworn you're just a more placid Robert Bury if it wasn't for your amiable tone of voice half the time.

Sounds like you're having much fun, though. I'm curious to hear more about the Intertubes over there; when I was there in 1999, it seemed very difficult to get online even compared to the US at the time. PC ownership seemed less, too (but man o' man, the GADGETS!).
