A Long Overdue Update

The last time made any kind of an update to this thing I mentioned my mother's brother having cancer. I'm going to start out by saying he's still fine and alive. He's recovering and his wife is recovering from her Crohn's related surgery. That said, the last few months have been a series of emotional ups and downs for my family. On the ups side
