Hello, I am very new to LiveJournal and thought I might as well introduce myself, I'm Chibi_Hannah_Chan. Like my profile says I love yaoi but the reason why titled it 'UK yaoi' is because I and a friend are working to getting more yaoi titles into Britain ( Read more... )

Hello! Followed you here from Chase_jack, hope you don't mind me friending you!

We in the UK do indeed need more Yaoi. So far (I think) we have Gravitation (Otakers), FAKE (WH Smiths), Demon Diary (Otakers) and Eerie Queerie (Otakers). There so needs to be more - and the last two aren't so good, I don't think.

Don't mind at all, it's nice to have another friend here besides maddymim, don't get me wrong, love her to bits but we know each other personally.

There's also Tokyo Babylon (haven't read, want to), which out of your list would you recommend? I'm reading FAKE (loving it!) Gravitation(it's ok) and Eerie Queerie (I like it, don't know why, it's just mental!) and I'm still a bit iffy on Demon Diary. Have you read it?

With Demon Diary, the uke is so girly that it's like reading het. O_o Eerie Queerie (though I've only read the first volume) is a bit like that too, with all the ghosts being women and then that being explained to the lost-interests. I'll keep reading, though, to see what comes of it all. ^_^

Both FAKE and Gravi have the 'surprise snogging!' scenes - though those are better drawn in FAKE, I think. I like the boy's character in Gravi, though.

Guess I could try DD out, with Eerie Queerie... it's 4 volumes so I figure I bought two might aswell buy two more. FAKE and Gravi have a good mix of comedy and drama (like Coronation Street) but FAKE's the one for me.
