Now for Breda:
1. He's Germanic decent. One of the middle children of a decent to large sized family. Brought up on a farm (hence those tree trunks he calls arms.)
2. He's a munitions expert, that's why Arakawa draws him with those really cool WWI grenades.
3. He's afraid of dogs because he saw a rabid dog pull apart a cow when he was really young. It was gross. They had to shoot the dog. It could traumatize anyone.

1. While she has to act very masculine and professional in the office, at home, in her private time, she's a little girly. She reads romance novels (someting Arakawa said in an interview) and wears lacey underwear (or a lacey as they get in Amestris.)
2. She isn't cold or stern, just really shy. When she first met Roy (waaay back when he was learning Alchemy from her father) she was frightened of him, but over the years they very slowly became friends, something that was solidified by her father's death.
3. She can ballroom dance, but only because it's something that young Roy Mustang wanted to learn, and needing a partner her wrangled her into it. It's someting that she remembers fondly and it had something to do with the childhood crush she had on him.
