Chapter 06
Confused beyond lost
Reality was looking too surreal
Nightmares were becoming true
Hitomi was lost deep within her own mind. As it was impossible for to snap her out of her own hypnotizes when she was lost and lingering within her own world. It was a world too complicated for anyone besides herself; a world that consisted with so much confusion and questions that was always insolvable. She sat on her bed rethinking all the events that had just occurred in such a short time span.
How her best friend Kyoko came back from Korea, followed by meeting Akanishi Jin during the night at the bar. The following day having lunch with her new friends, party the next, and out of no where he reappears. In just a matter of one week.
It wasn’t supposed to end up like this. Why back all of the sudden is after a two whole year had passed. I was so sure there was nothing between us anymore, even if I did run away like that, if he was to really find me, he really could of easily found me. He knew Japan was my dream to come here. I’m sure he didn’t or even tried to find me. But why now? Why did he find me now? Yes, I was hurt that was why I had run away, however, it was also a test. A game of hide and seek, if he could find me before my heart stopped beating for him than I would return to his arm. But I threw the white flag a year ago; I was tired of expecting him to call out my name out of the blue. The expectation for it dissolved slowly, as each days ticked by.
With a loud bang my doors to my room flew open and Kyoko came running in giving me a bear like hug. I gasped waving my arms frantically trying to inhale air before my life ended. Finally when Kyoko realized my red face and puffy cheeks she let go and smiled sheepishly at me and quickly sat down on the side of my bed. She grabbed both of my arms and looked into my brown orbed eyes.
“Did you know? Akanishi Jin really likes you?”
“Pardon me?”
“Aka-ni-shi Jin, likes you, Hi-to-mi.”
I laughed sarcastically looking back at her looking quite annoyed.
“No no no.” I said repeatedly shaking my head back and forth, “you see, him and I we don’t click. He’s a player.”
Kyoko gave me a stern look and hit my arms quite hard which shocked me a bit seeing such actions from her. Then again, last night the way she pushed Kazuya made me wonder if she was working out in Korea or something. She looked into my eyes hoping that I sincerely believed what she said. I let out a small sigh and gently pushed her arms off my shoulder.
“I don’t hate him, but he isn’t close enough to be called a friend either.” I tried to explain the best I could to Kyoko, however, she still wasn’t looking too convinced at all. I sighed as I combed my hair with my fingers shaking my head in frustration. “Him and I we met at the club the day you returned from Korea, he sounded like a total player by his tone of voice and attitude. If he really wanted to find a committing girl I don’t think going to club and randomly talking to a girl is the best choice.”
Kyoko’s eyes were trying to be a lie detector looking into my eyes her eyes were looking left and right scanning them over and over again finally she sighed finding no answers.
I looked around the room which turned out to be my bedroom than the flash black played in my mind. I fell into his embrace and fell asleep on his lap then anything else happened became a blur.
“How did I end up in your room?” I asked Kyoko looking at her blankly.
“I’m not sure.” She answered back.
Six pair of eyes stared at each other no one dared say anything to one another finally; Jin broke the awkward silence and got out of his seat after just taking a few bites from his French toast for breakfast. Soon after everyone else started to excuse themselves from the table. Kazuya was left alone sitting at the table and he placed his fork onto the side of his plate and sighed heavily. He sat there quietly slowly drifting into his own mind thinking, ‘How am I going to get her back? It was all a misunderstanding, I love then I love her now and I will love her forever.’ Minutes later Jin was changed into a pair of vintage jeans and sleeveless shirt with a vest on top and looked at Kazuya in the eye and scoffed quietly and walked towards the door.
“Stop.” Kazuya blurted out suddenly from the kitchen table.
Jin let go of the doorknob and turned around and stuffed his hands into his jeans and slowly walked towards the kitchen door but stopped at the door frame, he leaned against it coolly.
Kazuya’s eyes began to shift and hesitation showed through his eyes. He started the stumble on his own words and unable to speak anything out. The sight made Jin scoff again and mouthed pathetic to quietly. He cleared his throat and caused Kazuya to look him in the eye.
“Are we still friends?” Jin questioned Kazuya but Jin didn’t even leave enough time for a response. “Personally, I wouldn’t think so, however, we aren’t enemies either, but before everything gets overly complicated you better step down Kazuya. I’m warning you; currently your existence is already complicating things. And you know how much I have complicated stuff.”
“Step down?” Kazuya questioned Jin. “She was always mine and still is, there’s just some misunderstanding between us, I’m sure when the time is right she’ll allow me to explain and everything will be fine. Jin you should be supporting me on this, personally I don’t think it’s complicated at all, you guys are just making it seem confusing.”
“Yours? Don’t be greedy Kazuya. But than again, humans are born with greed.” Jin chuckled and walked out the door leaving Kazuya behind. The younger man confused and inside boiled with anger banged on the table with all his might causing the plate and fork to fall into the ground, shattered.
Jin sighed as he entered the home. Maids standing neatly in a row greeting Jin as he walked into the home, Jin made no response to thank their welcoming. He walked straight up the spiral stairs and opened the door of the master bedroom.
‘Empty.’ He thought to himself he quickly closed the door behind him and ran downstairs, he quickly ran into the kitchen startling the maids that were mopping the floors. Jin cursed under his breath in frustration and opened another door to the backyard, there he saw a familiar figure sitting there with her back straight and was flower arranging. Finally Jin sighed in relief and walked towards the person.
“Okaa-sama.” Jin said out loud and walked in front of the person. The lady smiled gently and continued her flower arrangement. Jin stood there waiting for some sort of response from his mother; however she showed no sign of interest of her son coming home. Jin waved his hand in front of his mother.
“Okaa-sama, moshi moshi.” Jin echoed as he continued to wave his hand. Jin puffed his cheeks and stuffed his hands in his pockets again. “Mou Okaa-san, I know I have done wrong, stop ignoring me.”
“Now you apologize? You received my letter over a week ago and you didn’t even come home, I thought I told you I had something very important to discuss with you, as you can see your father is not home.” Jin’s mother said sternly as she looked deep into Jin’s eyes.
“That’s it? When is father even ever home, Okaa-sama, I thought I told you to get use it by now.”
“Well, if you actually went to the company at least once a while you would realize that he isn’t there recently either. Please, Jin as the next heir of the company please show some interest towards the company, you know your father can’t be working forever.” Jin’s mother started to sound annoyed and volume started to rise.
“I thought I already told you that I had no intention of taking over the company, besides I hate business, I only went through it in university because you begged me, I looked you as my mother to do what I was told not because I showed any interest.” Jin’s voice was also starting to rise.
“What do you want to do with your life than? Music? Do you actually think you will make it big in the music industry? Jin please come back into reality, I thought if I let you do what you wanted to do for a while soon after you would take on the responsibility you have later on, instead you are just delaying and walking your life aimlessly. Akanishi Jin, I will not tolerate this anymore.”
“Okaa-sama!” Jin shouted and slammed his hands onto the table and leaned forward and looked into his mothers eyes. “I thought you would be more understanding, I thought you weren’t like father always pressuring me to do things I don’t want to do, and you were always by my side why are you betraying me now too? Okaa-sama!”
“Akanishi Jin! You pathetic son, have you realized the family situation at all? Your father is ill, he has been in the hospital for nearly a month, I’ve been trying to contact you all this time but you always reply that you are busy. When are you going to realize that you are no longer a child, there are things you must do as part of the Akanishi family. No more music, you are moving back home, I don’t want you talking to those friends of yours anymore; I’ve seen that you’ve learned some bad influence. When have you learned to talk back at me, yet to even raise your voice at me. That’s it, no more negotiating.” Jin’s mom stood up from her seat and walked back into the house.
‘The old man is sick? Is he really? He was always pretty healthy enough to yell at me.’
Kazuya stared at the big Kyoto styled home in front of him. Standing outside of the gate he read the name carved on the stone beside him, Kamenashi. He sighed, ‘maybe I’ll come back later, and right now isn’t the right time.’ He turned around and saw a smaller version of Kazuya in front of him. The kid dropped his basketball and rolled in front of Kazuya’s foot. Kazuya smiled and picked up the ball and tossed it back to the kid. Kazuya walked beside the kid and whispered, “Don’t tell anyone that I’m back. Got it Yuuya?”
The kid only nodded in response. As Kazuya walked further and further away, Yuuya shouted, “Nii-Chan! Where’s your wife?”
Kazuya just shrugged in response and walked off.
Authors Note:
Okay, I think I owe my dear readers an explanation. During June I was extremely busy with high school graduation and all that junk and of course final exams and stuff. Later on it was summer and I was out everyday having fun before the university life. Sooner or later August rolled around and it was my birthday and I ended up having a three day celebration. So I am OFFICIALLY BACK! Updated! And already currently working on the next chapter. I am REALLY sorry dear readers. I hope everyone will still continue to support my stories and comment lots. Thank you very much.
