Why do you need vitamins anyway? See I didn't know period doesn't flow when you breastfeed. I had my period for 2 weeks after giving birth, and then only breastfed for another 2 weeks, [so a month total] and then, of course, I got my period the next month, so I didn't know that happened.
I'm terribly anemic for one. Low Iron and when I have my period and lose all that blood it's like to the point of almost blacking out if I don't get enough crap in me. The pills they gave me made my periods heavier, messed with my complexion, made me constipated and all that nonsense. Prenatal vitamins are a good source of iron and other vitamins such as E which for some reason I'm not getting enough of:(
There's just stupid stuff going on in my system. I mean, I'm fine but there's a few imbalences going on. I should probably go to the doctor for half of what's going on but yeah, no insurance and my family seems to take the "ignore it and it'll go away" approach.
I always joke and say "Well, if I end up dead..." but they don't take to it very well. :D

Yeah, I had no idea about the period thing either until they told us.
