30 Day Meme: Day Nine
Getting behind on these again, so here's another 3 to catch up.
Day Nine: Your beliefs, in great detail
I presume this is one is geared toward religious/spiritual beliefs, so that's how I'm going to do it.
Well, its kinda hard to explain. I remember asking my parents what religion we were, and my mom said "I don't know....Lutheran?" Looking back, that was kind of an awkward answer. I think my parents are more like deists or agnostics. My grandparents are Lutheran if I remember right. My family never went to church. Whenever I went to church, it was because I was staying at a friend's house and they were forced to go.
That being said, I don't have a religion. Or at least I don't practice one. I do find it fascinating and enjoy learning about the differences in each religion, but I don't really favor one over another.
If I had to choose a religion that would suit my life right now, it would be atheism. It would be nice if a deity or supreme being existed, but I don't see how its possible. There's also too many holes in religion that I question it too much to find much faith in it.
I respect the religions of other people though, and find it highly offensive and unnecessary to criticize someone else's beliefs or judge them differently because they're beliefs are different from your own.
Its hard for me to pinpoint exactly some of the things I believe in, but this is it in a nut shell.
