Adam and I have always loved monsters and have a special affection for the tall, awkward, misunderstood Frankenstein. Our good friend Glen Hetrick and his studio Optic Nerve made a dream come true and turned us into monsters! I made my dress myself and helped Adam find the pieces to his, sewing in two pairs of shoulder pads for the right look. My ( Read more... )

Thanks!

We went to a club that advertised having $7,500 in costume contests.

hhahaha, false advertising ftw! That's like getting spam in real life.

I thought he wouldn't be as shy in a costume, but like the movie version of Frankenstein, he didn't talk much.

This is probably the part of me that was fascinated by classic movie monsters as a kid, but it looks a little like his face was a combination of Karloff's Frankenstein and his Imhotep. That's a really awesome effect!

Classic movie monsters are making a comeback. I am looking forward to seeing the new Wolfman, but I'm wary of other remakes....I hear Scarlett Johansson will play the new Bride of Frankenstein.

It was odd seeing how similar my boyfriend's face is to Karloff's. Didn't take a whole lot to make the transformation. Maybe an Imhotep costume is in his future.....

Thanks Karen! I wasn't sure about it at first, but I'm glad we went with "black and white" instead of the green Frankie everyone thinks of.

I REALLY hope we get to do it again in April for Mosterpalooza!

What did you and the Cole Man do for Halloween?
